''PHOTO-TRANSCENDENT,'' Bose Pacia, 508 West 26th Street, (212) 989-7074, (through July 20). Organized by Peter Nagy, this show focuses on artists who use international photographic conventions to explore and to transcend Indian experience. Rajeev Lochan makes big, lush, hand-colored cityscapes that have a painterly richness; Lewis Koch pairs conventional scenic photographs with photographs of pages from literary and academic books to poetic effect; and from the Casa Documentation Center, there's a selection of vernacular, commercial studio portraits that are at once strange and banal (Johnson).
