Long-time L Mag fixation Aakash Nihalani, the tape artist whose bright geometric forms
you've likely seen on streets all around Brooklyn, is prepping an exhibition next month at
Bose Pacia in Dumbo. That's got him thinking about gallery art, it seems, given these
shots (another after the jump) of him riding a pink tape rendering of a Jeff Koons balloon
dog. Perhaps this is symptomatic of a larger trend in street art whereby artists are
appropriating the canine artworks of their predecessors, like how Banksy just did this
homage to Keith Haring:
